SEsaMo is the modular platform entirely developed by Aitek for the control of gates regulating access to travel infrastructures such as highways, tunnels, parking lots.

A SEsaMo application reuses platform subsystems which work together to meet specific requirements, for example electronic toll collection systems (e.g., “Telepass” lanes), systems regulating access to tunnels (e.g., the Monte Bianco Tunnel) or gates for damage control at the entrance of port areas (e.g., port of Vado, Savona).

The automatic control gate (GATE)

An automatic control gate system (gate) must manage a framework capable of:

• detecting and identifying a user trying to access a particular service,

• determining whether the user may access the service,

• managing the provided service.

The “provided service” depends on the gate's operating scenario. In the case of access control, the provided service is passing through the system. Determining if the user may access the service also depends on the gate's operating scenario (toll paid, access pass collected, images acquired, physical features measured, etc.).
