The Smart Modules integrate the AiVu video surveillance suite by performing intelligent image analysis on live and recorded images acquired from video cameras distributed in the monitored area.
The employed image processing algorithms are capable of performing motion detection through statistic analysis of variations in the scene. Alarm notifications are automatically generated by the algorithms at every event involving the security of the monitored area.
Sensitive areas are configured using a user-friendly interface and their display makes the identification of objects in the scene easier.
The Smart Modules evaluate the time duration of each event, separating actual anomalies from nonmeaningful events: false and duplicate alarms can be avoided by properly setting parameters controlling the background update time and the overall sensitivity.
Operators are automatically notified of detected events directly on the video surveillance interface. In case of variations in video camera positioning, full functionality may be restored simply by re-defining the virtual sensors.
The solution provides both the advantages in image acquisition, recording and transmission of the latest video surveillance systems and the peculiarities of “full software” solutions for the intelligent analysis of the images provided by installed video cameras.
Each application only requires the implementation of the modules meeting the application's specific security needs, thus avoiding the use of an excessive amount of modules and functionalities.
