TVIP-STB is an advanced multi-standard application especially suitable for Community applications (Hotels, Cruises, Hospitals) and for complex Business and Consumer applications.

TVIP-STB provides great interactivity through the remote control and touchscreen, making both traditional and advanced digital set-top box features available, from Teletext, to interactive channels, email, Internet browsing, room video games.

  • Main Service Menu: TV, Radio, Video and Music On Demand, Games, Email, Internet, Hotel Information, Packet Purchase, Interactive Guide, language selection.

  • Multi-Language Menu: available languages are Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese. The menu also supports languages with non-Latin characters (Cyrillic, Arab, Greek, etc.)

  • Hotel Information Pages: Hotel information in various formats (flash or slide show), completely manageable by the Hotel staff through the administration interface

  • Welcome message: message displayed on the room TV with the guest's name

  • Digital-quality TV and Radio: directly from SAT or DTT signals and distributed with network cables using the IP protocol

  • Digital Teletext with high-speed cycling

  • Video & Music On Demand: selection of movies and music from menus with previews and descriptions

  • Audio language selection for on-demand movies which support it

  • Selection of blockbuster titles and adult movies

  • Content control: access to services and contents, among which adult movies, can be restricted directly from the PMS or the administration interface

  • Games on demand: based on Macromedia Flash technology

  • Service packages: services (movies, music, internet, etc.) may be purchased as packages

  • Messages from the Reception: using a back-office administration interface, custom messages can be sent to Terminals in Client rooms from the Reception.

  • Internet: access via Browser directly from room monitors

  • Email: custom accounts with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it addresses

  • Email storage on USB drives

  • Help: complete, on-line system user guide available on room terminals

  • Billing information: state of the account directly from the Hotel PMS management system

  • Hotel PMS link: support to connect to the Fidelio PMS via external card (NOT PROVIDED)

  • Hotel administration back-office interface based on WEB technologies

  • Hotel property management: list and state of terminals, rooms, equipment, network

  • TV and Radio channel configurator: selection of Hotel-modifiable channels through the administration interface

  • Customization of menu background and graphics with the Hotel Logo and startup messages

  • The application is integrated into the TVIP Multimedia Portal, allowing to browse the multimedia archive and to manage live TV and video on demand over IP
